Raul Lemesoff created a traveling library in the shape of a tank.
Raul Lemesoff is a dreamer, a revolutionist, a madman, the type of person that has to be made if he wouldn´t exist. He is literally, literarily on a mission. His ‘weapon of mass instruction’ is a 1979 ford falcon turned into a tank like vehicle, with a rotating upper chamber and pseudo-barrel, loaded with literature. With around 900 books on the car’s built-in shelves, poetry, novels and biographies, he tours through argentina’s urban centers and rural communities, offering free books to anyone interested.
7UP teamed up with the Buenos Aires-based artist on occasion of world book day on 5th March.
Weapons Of Mass Instruction is, in a way, the continuation, the ground offensive of a warfare that started with the Bombing of Poems by Chilean art collective Casagrande.
