The 10th Annual Modernism Week in Palm Springs: A Passion for Preservation

The 2015 Modernism Week is over and Architizer posted a review of the annual event in the Modernist´s Mekka, Palm Springs. Gladly they added a couple of photographs from some of most iconic buildings to feed the eyes of those who couldn´t attend.

For many vacationers, the resort town of Palm Springs is just that: a place to lie by the pool, view the mountains, and enjoy the sun. Every February, however, this small desert city about 100 miles from Los Angeles sees a massive influx of designers, collectors, architects, and anyone else who loves its influential buildings. Now in its 10th year, Modernism Week has grown to be part academic conference, part architectural tourism, complete with a series of stylish evening parties where people show off their best vintage looks.

Move over to architizer to see and read more about the 10th Annual Modernism Week.

Take a second look at Midnight Modern by Tom Blachford to see some of the iconic buildings pictured here in the surreal light of a full moon.
