An island to loll and laze

The iconic Isle Lounge is a sofa (?) large enough to seat several people in comfort. Originally designed in summer of 2005 by Asobi as part of their products for zero gravity, Isle Lounge is now commercially available. The inviting  epoxy carbon fiber sandwich shell questions architectural practices with its strong conceptual background and innovative functionality.

zero gravity is a company with a literally universal attitude:

Isle lounge is first in the series of products that are based on the research of radical starting-points for creating cosmic dwelling experience. Since present activities in interplanetary space are of a limited feasibility, lessons and activities are transformed into momentary planetary experience. Just so, that we wouldn’t have to wait.
